Letter to Kerr Presbyterian Church from Rev. KJ Norris, March 28, 2020.
Dear Kerr Family,
I am so very thankful for you all and for the many ways you are connecting with one another and showing love during this time.

The Kerr Session met this morning and came to a few decisions. Because schools in our area will remain closed until at least April 13, 2020, we as a church will continue meeting ONLINE ONLY as well. We believe that this is the best way to slow the spread of the Coronavirus and to prayerfully serve our Lord by seeking to keep our community as healthy and safe as possible during this time.
This means that all of our Holy Week services will be moving to an online format. Look for more information about this as we move into next week. We believe that the Holy Spirit is breathing a fresh wind of inspiration into our church, and we are looking forward to how God will use these online worship experiences.
For tomorrow, Sunday March 29, 2020, remember that we have Prayer and Praise Hour at 10 AM, BEFORE our church service. You can join us online to share your prayers and praises by connecting through Zoom. Simply click this link this and every Sunday and then say “yes” when the computer asks you questions about accessing your video and sound. This is a free and simple process. If you do not have a computer or smart phone, you can also call 1-929-205-6099 from any phone, and we will hear your voice. The Meeting ID number is 901 101 259. I am looking forward to gathering with you at 10 AM.

Afterwards, we have a very special worship service planned. As you may know, at Kerr every 5th Sunday of the month we invite special musicians to join us as leaders in worship. This week, the General Minister to Pittsburgh Presbytery, Rev. Dr. Sheldon Sorge (e.g. the pastor to the Presbyterian Pastors in Pittsburgh, including me) had graciously agreed to join us along with our friend and Presbytery Member, Trombonist Hill Jordan. Instead of meeting in person, both of them and also Rev. Sorge’s wife, Rev. Tammy Wiens, agreed to lead us in worship digitally. I am so thankful for their love of the Lord, their leadership during this time, and for the beautiful works of music they created. Kerr, we are in for a treat as we come to worship!

In addition, our own members Faith, Carrie, Lana, and Scott have special surprises planned to you. Truly, I am amazed at the ways the Holy Spirit is moving in our congregation! Notice that our kids are also leading us in worship. They are creating works of art based on our Bible stories, and as you can see, they are beautiful. Thank you, Kids. We love you so much!
Much love and blessings to you all as we continue gathering during this time while practicing social distancing,
Pastor KJ
