During the Coronavirus Outbreak, the Session of Kerr Presbyterian Church is asking us all to worship at home. Here is a home worship service for Sunday, March 22, 2020. May the Lord bless you!
As we come to worship together in our separate homes, let us begin with a reading from Psalm 23. Perhaps consider memorizing (or relearning) Psalm 23 this week. Listen to the Psalm being sung at home by Bob and Linda Norris, used with permission CCLI #1761160, and join in on the chorus:
If you are able, please stand in mind or body to join in singing this morning’s praise song, Christ is Risen. Used with permission CCLI #1761160.
Here is Elder Scott with a special at home Junior Sermon for kids!
Our Scripture for this morning is the entire chapter of John 9. It is an unfolding drama of a person who is healed by Jesus and the disbelief of those around him. Consider taking turns reading this Scripture or listen to Kimberly and KJ read it aloud.
Listen to the sermon based on this Scripture.
Part of worship is the giving of our offerings. There are many kinds of offerings. We can give God:
- Our time (as you did already today!)
- Our talent (by serving in the community especially in this time of social isolation–consider making a phone call or writing a card or contact Pastor KJ to be involved with next week’s online worship)
- Our treasure (consider giving to Kerr Presbyterian Church online during this time when we are not gathering in person)
Close your time of worship in prayer.
And may the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guide your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:7). Amen.
